I found this tucked away in my computer files. The exercise was to copy someone else’s style with your own words/characters/situations/etc. I don’t know where the original came from so I can’t find it. But here’s my copycat, with Violet- zombie killing seamstress.

Violet watched Geneva close the door for a moment, then take a breath and open it again. Still dead. Violet watched the leader repeat this action again and again as if the repetition would change the facts. But Mac was always dead.
